How to get a clean guitar tone for recording at home

A polished guitar recording begins before the first note reaches your DAW. The instrument, strings, pickups, room, cable, interface, amplifier, microphone, and playing technique all influence the final sound. If those elements are balanced at the source, mixing becomes a process of refinement rather than damage control.

Home studios can produce detailed, professional-sounding guitar tracks without expensive equipment.
